Brake Repair Services we provide

Brake Pads and Discs

Pads and discs wear first. Our brake pad replacement in Dubai covers both axles, with every part measured before it is replaced.

  • Front Brake Pad Replacement

Front pads do most of the braking work and wear fastest. Our front brake pad replacement in Dubai fits OEM-grade pads, new sensors and anti-squeal hardware.

  • Rear Brake Pad Replacement

Rear pads on most modern VWs sit inside electronic parking brake calipers. Our rear brake pad replacement in Dubai uses service mode to retract the motors safely.

  • Brake Disc and Rotor Replacement

Worn, warped or scored discs cause vibration and longer stops. Our brake disc and rotor replacement in Dubai fits new rotors in axle pairs, matched to your model.

  • Brake Disc Resurfacing

Lightly grooved discs can sometimes be machined smooth again. Our brake disc resurfacing in Dubai is only done when thickness stays above VW’s stamped minimum.

Calipers, Brake Fluid and Lines

These parts turn your pedal press into clamping force. A fault here makes the pedal soft or the car pull.

  • Brake Caliper Repair and Replacement

Sticking calipers drag, overheat and wear pads unevenly. Our brake caliper repair in Dubai rebuilds seals and slide pins, while caliper replacement fits new or remanufactured units.

  • Brake Fluid Change and Flush

Brake fluid absorbs moisture and loses heat resistance over time. Our brake fluid change and flush in Dubai replaces all old fluid with VW-approved DOT 4.

  • Brake Line Repair

Corroded or damaged steel lines can leak under hard braking. Our brake line repair in Dubai replaces faulty sections with correctly flared, pressure-tested new lines.

  • Brake Hose Replacement

Rubber hoses crack and swell with heat and age, softening the pedal. Our brake hose replacement in Dubai fits new hoses and bleeds the full system.

ABS and Parking Brake Repair

Modern VW braking relies on electronics as much as hardware. These services fix both.

  • ABS Diagnostics

ABS and ESC warnings store detailed fault data in the control unit. Our ABS diagnostics in Dubai read live wheel speeds to find the exact fault.

  • ABS Repair

A faulty ABS module or pump can disable stability control and other braking aids. Our ABS repair in Dubai fixes modules, wiring and hydraulic units.

  • ABS Sensor Replacement

Wheel speed sensors sit near hot brakes and collect dust. Our ABS sensor replacement in Dubai fits new sensors, cleans tone rings and clears stored faults.

  • Electronic Parking Brake Repair

An EPB fault can lock the rear wheels or refuse to release. Our electronic parking brake repair in Dubai fixes caliper motors, switches, wiring and control units.

  • Parking Brake Repair

Older VWs and some models still use a cable handbrake. Our parking brake repair in Dubai adjusts or replaces cables, levers and rear shoe mechanisms.

The drop you can’t see

Brake Fluid Quality and Why It Matters

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means it pulls moisture from the air. As water content rises, the boiling point falls. Under heavy braking, fluid that boils forms vapour bubbles, and the pedal can sink toward the floor.

Minimum brake fluid boiling points when fresh and after moisture
Fluid Grade Minimum Boiling Point (Fresh) Minimum Boiling Point (After Moisture)
DOT 3205°C140°C
DOT 4230°C155°C
DOT 5 / 5.1260°C180°C

Volkswagen typically schedules the first brake fluid change at three years, then every two years after that. Check your service booklet for your exact model. In Dubai, we test fluid moisture at every visit, because high temperatures and long traffic queues push brakes harder.

Thickness decides

Repair or Replace Your Brake Discs

Every VW disc has a minimum thickness stamped on it. Below that number, it can no longer absorb heat safely.

When to keep, resurface or replace a brake disc
Disc Condition Recommended Action
Smooth, above minimum thicknessKeep, fit new pads only
Light grooves, well above minimumResurface, then fit new pads
Deep grooves or heavy lipReplace in axle pairs
Vibration from uneven thicknessMeasure, then resurface or replace
Cracks or heat spotsReplace immediately
At or below minimum thicknessReplace, never resurface

Rear pads done right

Why EPB Cars Need the Right Tools

Most modern VWs, including the Golf, Tiguan, Passat and Arteon, use an electronic parking brake. Small motors on the rear calipers apply and release the pads. These pistons can’t simply be pushed back like older calipers.

Before changing rear pads, the system must enter service mode through a diagnostic tool. The motors then retract safely. Forcing the pistons back can strip the motor gears and trigger EPB faults. After fitting new pads, we run the calibration so the parking brake holds correctly.

Traffic, heat, dust

What Dubai Driving Does to Your Brakes

Stop-start traffic on busy roads means constant braking at low speed. Heat builds up in pads, discs and fluid with little time to cool. Summer temperatures make this worse.

Fine dust also mixes with brake dust, causing squeaks and faster wear on pads and sliders. That’s why we clean and lubricate caliper slides with every brake job and check fluid condition more often than milder climates require.

Five clear steps

Our Brake Repair Process

  1. 1

    STEP 01

    Test Drive and Pedal Check

We drive the car to check pedal feel, pulling, noise and vibration. This shows how your brakes behave under normal and firm stopping conditions.

  2. 2

    STEP 02

    Wheels-Off

With the wheels removed, we measure pad and disc thickness, check calipers and hoses and test fluid moisture. Every finding is photographed for you.

  3. 3

    STEP 03

    Scan and Written Estimate

ABS, ESC and EPB systems are scanned for stored faults. You receive a written estimate with parts, labour and price before any work begins.

  4. 4

    STEP 04

    Repair to VW Specification

We fit genuine or OEM parts, torque bolts to VW values and clean hub faces. Pads are bedded in correctly for strong, quiet braking from day one.

  5. 5

    STEP 05

    Bleed, Calibrate and Road Test

The system is bled, EPB and ABS are calibrated where needed, and faults are cleared. A final road test confirms straight, smooth and confident stops.

Brake specialists

Why Choose Us for VW Brake Repair

  • Measured, Not Guessed

We measure pad depth, disc thickness and fluid moisture on every job. You replace parts only when the numbers say it’s time.

  • EPB Service Mode Every Time

Rear pads on EPB cars are changed using proper diagnostic service mode. Caliper motors are never forced back, so they keep working safely.

  • Correct Fluid and Bleeding

We use VW-approved DOT 4 fluid and bleed every circuit, including ABS units when required. Your pedal stays firm under repeated hard stops.

  • OEM-Grade Parts

Pads, discs and calipers meet VW specifications for fit, friction and noise. Discs are always replaced in axle pairs for balanced braking.

  • Photo-Backed Findings

Every worn pad, scored disc or leaking hose is photographed. You see the real condition before approving any brake repair work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still have a question?

Send us your model and the issue — a technician will reply, not a call centre.

Ask a technician

How much does brake repair cost in Dubai?

The cost depends on your model and which parts need work. Front pads alone cost far less than pads, discs and calipers together. We measure everything first and give you a written estimate before starting any repair.

How often should VW brake pads be replaced?

There is no fixed interval, because wear depends on driving style and traffic. Stop-start city driving in Dubai wears pads faster than highway use. We measure pad depth at every service and advise when replacement is due.

Do I need new discs every time I change pads?

Not always. If the discs are above VW’s minimum thickness, smooth and free of cracks, they can stay. Badly grooved, warped or thin discs should be replaced along with new pads for safe, even braking.

How often should brake fluid be changed?

Volkswagen typically schedules the first change at three years, then every two years after that. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point. In Dubai heat, we suggest testing it at every service.

Why does my steering wheel shake when braking?

Vibration under braking usually points to uneven disc thickness or deposits on the disc surface. Worn suspension parts can make it worse. We measure disc runout and thickness to confirm the cause before recommending a fix.

Can rear pads be changed without a scan tool on EPB cars?

No, it isn’t safe. Rear calipers on EPB-equipped VWs have electric motors that must be retracted in service mode. Forcing the pistons back can damage the motor, so we always use a diagnostic tool.

What does the ABS warning light mean?

It means the ABS system has found a fault and may be partly disabled. Common causes include a faulty wheel speed sensor, damaged wiring or a module fault. Normal braking still works, but book a diagnosis soon.

Why are my VW brakes squeaking?

Squeaking often comes from worn pads, glazed surfaces, dust build-up or missing anti-squeal shims. Some pad compounds are naturally noisier than others. We find the real cause and fix it properly instead of just spraying the parts.

How long does a brake service take?

Front or rear pad replacement usually takes about one to two hours. Pads and discs on both axles can take half a day. ABS or EPB repairs depend on diagnosis and parts, and we confirm timing first.

Is it safe to drive with a soft brake pedal?

No. A soft or sinking pedal can mean air in the system, a leaking hose or caliper, or worn master cylinder seals. Stop driving if it gets worse, and book an inspection as soon as possible.
